What is ACHE?
The American College of Healthcare Executives is a professional society of more than 30,000 healthcare executives. ACHE is known for the credentialing programs, educational resources, and career services that it makes available to member affiliates. ACHE is also known for its journals (Journal of Healthcare Management and Frontiers of Health Services Management), its magazine (Healthcare Executive), and its prestigious publishing division, Health Administration Press. Becoming a Student Associate
There are over 3,000 Student Associate members of ACHE, and you can join them! Becoming a Student Associate is a great way to demonstrate your commitment to your career as a health care administrator. Student Associates receive access to a wide range of career support services, including resume review and critique, a directory of fellowships, and access to the ACHE Job Bank. As a Student Associate, you will also receive complimentary subscriptions to Healthcare Executive and your choice of Journal of Healthcare Management or Frontiers of Health Services Management.
Why else should you join ACHE as a Student Associate? You will receive a HUGE discount on the registration fee for the annual Congress on Healthcare Leadership – an unbeatable experience to network with experienced healthcare executives.
To become a Student Associate, log on to http://www.ache.org and click on the “JOIN ACHE” tab. Student Associate dues are only $75 per year.
ACHE Local Chapter
The American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) is represented in the Kansas City metropolitan area by the Kansas City Local Program Council (KCLPC), a branch of the Missouri Healthcare Executives Group (MHEG) in St. Louis, MO. KCLPC hosts various ACHE category I informational programs for executives to continue their education. The most recent program was held February 11, 2010 and focused on employing social media to build customer satisfaction and community outreach. KCLPC also looks to provide a professional network to promote communication in the area. KCLPC is governed by a board of local healthcare executives and student representatives.

ACHE Congress 2010
Each year, ACHE hosts an annual Congress on Healthcare Leadership in Chicago. ACHE Congress draws more than 4,000 healthcare executives and student together for a valuable week of professional development and networking. Student Associates are offered a unique set of student-tailored sessions through The Student Track at Congress. The Student Track offers a significantly discounted registration fee for Student Associates. Last year, Student Associate fees were only $395 (with luncheon) compared to the $1075 fee for regular members. Come join us March 22nd-25th in the Windy City for ACHE Congress 2010!
